HUMANITARIAN & TRAINING ACADEMIC


1. General Overview


The GIVAA (International Group of Asian-African Volunteers) is a humanitarian, educational, and social organization dedicated to promoting peace, sustainable development, and youth leadership across Asia and Africa. Through its Annual Academic Program, GIVAA provides a framework for education, training, and applied research designed to strengthen the skills of volunteers, students, and professionals engaged in humanitarian and community development work. The program emphasizes learning through practice, intercultural solidarity, and international cooperation.


2. Academic Structure

The program is organized around three main areas of study:

a) Humanitarian and Community Development Division

  • Humanitarian Project Management
  • Community Health and Nutrition
  • Child Protection and Social Inclusion

  • Crisis Management and Emergency Relief

b) Leadership and Governance Division

  • Ethical and Participatory Leadership
  • Humanitarian Diplomacy and International Relations
  • Institutional Communication and Advocacy

  • Administrative and Financial Management of NGOs

c) Technical and Sustainable Development Division

  • Appropriate Technologies for Local Development
  • Renewable Energy and Environmental Management
  • Social Entrepreneurship and Community Innovation

  • Humanitarian Research and Documentation

Program Duration: 12 months (one academic year)
Academic Period: January to December each year
Teaching Format: In-person courses, online learning, and field internships


3. Administrative Structure and Leadership Roles

a) General Directorate

  • Oversees the implementation of the academic program
  • Officially represents GIVAA to partner institutions

  • Approves academic and budgetary orientations

b) Academic Secretariat

  • Manages registrations, academic records, and student files

  • Coordinates communication between students, instructors, and administration

c) Academic Council

  • Develops course programs
  • Evaluates teaching quality and training outcomes

  • Proposes academic and technical partnerships

d) Faculty and Trainers

  • Deliver academic courses and supervise projects
  • Contribute to applied research and student mentorship

  • Uphold humanitarian ethics in education and training


4. Student Rights and Responsibilities

Rights:

  • Receive quality education consistent with GIVAA’s values
  • Participate in GIVAA’s cultural and humanitarian activities
  • Receive academic and professional guidance

  • Apply for scholarships or partial fee waivers based on eligibility

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with academic regulations and disciplinary rules
  • Actively participate in humanitarian and community projects
  • Fulfill academic and financial obligations

  • Promote solidarity, peace, and intercontinental cooperation


5. Admission and Enrollment

Admission Requirements:

  • Hold at least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrate genuine interest in humanitarian and development work

  • Submit a complete application file including:

              - Registration form

              - Copies of diplomas or certificates

              - ID card or passport copy

              - Letter of motivation

Enrollment Procedures:

  • Registration is done online or through GIVAA national offices

  • Once the application is approved, the candidate receives an official letter of admission

Indicative Annual Fees:

  • Registration fee: USD 50
  • Tuition fee (annual): USD 300
  • Examination and certification fee: USD 50

  • Administrative or attestation fee: USD 20
    (Partial scholarships may be granted based on need and merit.)


6. Evaluation and Certification

Assessment is based on:

  • Group assignments and field reports
  • Mid-year and final examinations
  • Participation in community projects

  • Final dissertation or project report

Upon successful completion, students are awarded the GIVAA International Certificate in Humanitarian Leadership and Community Development, recognized by partner networks across Asia and Africa.
